Covid 19 News

Update June 29th– 2020

To our valued guests,

Kathy and I would like to express our sincerest gratitude for your support during these times of uncertainty and stress.  Your support of our take – out service has enabled us to keep our kitchen open and to stay connected with our community. It has certainly been a new way of doing business and we have learned a lot.

We are now open for in house dining.  In accordance with local governments and health authorities, the Barley Station will resume dine-in operations limited to 50% capacity or as social distancing dictates. This also includes the Patio, although again with reduced capacity. Please check the opening and closing times posted here as they are new.At this time we will remain closed Sunday & Monday as we just don’t have the staff to resume full service.

The health and well-being of our employees and guests remain our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe environment and we will thoughtfully implement any additional safety and hygiene measures under the guidance of health authorities. We have a reduced menu for now with your old favourites and some new ones. Please be patient as we strive to get used to this “new normal” Our staff are following current guidelines to maintain social distancing protocols as outline by the PHA. At this time our staff do not wear masks so if you are at all concerned about this please do not come in to the Pub. We do provide masks for those staff members who wish to use them but it is very difficult to provide the service we are used to when wearing a face covering. If you are not comfortable with this then please wait until things have changed or until you are ok with this arrangement. We completely understand your concerns and do not want you to put yourself into an environment you are not comfortable with. We hope you understand our situation as well as yours. . Thank you.

Thank you all very much for your continued support and trust in us. We can’t wait to welcome you back into our restaurant very soon.

Sincerely,

Stu & Kathy

And the whole Barley Station Team

What do our oceans have to do to get your attention? Overfishing is one of the biggest threats facing our oceans.
